The celebration of baptism is always a joyful occasion. Children and babies are baptized on the understanding that they are brought up in the Christian faith, and experience regularly the worship of the Christian community.  When they are old enough to profess the Christian faith for themselves, they are confirmed by a bishop around the time they enter Secondary School. 

Adults are usually both baptised and confirmed at the same time by a bishop following some preparation. This usually happens at or around Easter. 

If you want your child to be baptised or to be baptised yourself, please be in touch with Fr Johannes concerning possible dates and preparation. Our usual practice is to baptise babies and children during our 10.30am Sung Mass on a Sunday morning.
